Regional Tensions Rise After Deadly Missile and Drone Attack in Yemen
Increasing regional tensions have now crossed the critical point after the Houthis of Yemen mounted combined attacks using missiles and drones in Marib targeting both military compounds and civilians on Friday, resulting in the death of two individuals and injuring 14 others. In light of the intelligence reports pointing to potential joint attacks by the Houthis backed by Iran and Iraqi militias on strategic energy, port, and airport facilities, a historic joint defense agreement is being inked by Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey in Mecca to ensure that the Sunnis form an unbeatable alliance.
